   Costs will vary based on size, level of finishes, and complexity. At Canaan Homes, we use a fixed-cost model, working closely with you to stay within your provided budget while achieving your dream home.

• How long does it take to build a Custom Home?

  Actual Construction time is typically 8-12 months, depending on the complexity of the design and time of year.  The design and planning phase leading up to construction depends on design and approval time which is usually 2-3 months.

• What is a fixed-cost Builder?
   As a fixed-cost Builder, we provide a fully inclusive price based on the final designs and each and every detailed selection made during the Material Selection and Cost Analysis process. This fixed-cost pricing model provides our clients with knowledge of exactly where their cost to build will be, so there are no surprises. We focus on finding finishes and designs that align with your desired budget.

• Are Custom Homes more expensive than production homes?
  Custom Homes are typically more expensive due to personalized and site-specific designs, and higher-quality materials. However, they provide a final product that represents your Dream Home along with a long-term investment that provides your unique living experience.

   Our in-house design process is collaborative and very detailed. We help you create a layout and select finishes that reflect your style while remaining functional and cost-effective. We operate with the experience that the thorough time spent during the pre-construction phase greatly improves the efficiency and success of the construction phase.

• Do you help with site selection?

  Yes! We have land available and can also assist in evaluating other properties to ensure they meet the requirements for your vision.

• Do you offer any warranties?
   Yes! After construction is completed, we provide a detailed walkthrough to address any outstanding details. We also include a one-year warranty for peace of mind.

• How involved can I be in the process?
   We encourage client involvement. From initial planning to material selection and post-construction walkthroughs, we strongly value your input to ensure your specific vision becomes part of the completed project.
